What a mascot… For its 135th jubilee, the “little elephant” makes its appearance in a 5 cm version. Standing upright, made of the finest white wool felt with saddle cloth and base in contrasting colours, it accompanies people throughout the day, as their little Jubilee elephant. Perhaps it was a coincidence or precisely the reason that the elephant – symbol of intelligence, strength and happiness – was Margarete Steiff´s first cuddly toy. In retrospect, however, he fits like no other animal with the courageous, unconventional and successful founder of our company. The little Jubilee elephant is released in a limited edition of 1,880 pieces, naturally with a gold-plated “Button in Ear” and is surely destined to become a collector´s piece.
