An absolutely stunning collector’s item, this is Part 1 of a two part series from Steiff.

Set consists of 6 components: wooden stable, Mary (11 cm, blond), Joseph (11 cm, cinnamon), Jesus (7 cm, light beige), ox (10 cm, caramel) and donkey (9 cm, grey). Born in a stable warmed by ox and donkey: the world receives its Saviour very modestly. To this day, the birth of Jesus in the stable and the shining star are the epitome of the Christmas story. Our mohair Nativity set recalls this miracle of Bethlehem: inside the barn made of spruce – craftsmanship from the Erzgebirge – we meet Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus, accompanied by an ox and a donkey. Mary is wearing a dress made of wool with gold braid, set off with a veil made of cotton, Joseph a frock with a linen cape. The swaddling clothes of the baby Jesus are made of wool felt. They radiate peace and joy. Merry Christmas! From the stable, the message goes out to the entire world.
